Z⇒BBbar:
The Z to BBbar analysis:
- Strip status
This is the current status of the data stripping, production, and ntupling.
Do not trust the luminosity figures as they come from the log file Luminosity summary and often are inconsistent.
It is generally accurate although ntupling is sometimes out of date as new attempts and changes are made
- Current code
This page summarizes the current code seen in the strip status page.
- Ntuple info
Look here for instructions and help on using the current ntuples.
Silicon Studies:
These are ongoing silicon study things
- Chip Efficiency
Some notes about the digital effiency of chips, how this impacts realistic MC, and how we could improve acceptance.
- L00 Spy
First try at studying L00 clustering after taking over for a summer student, Tyler Rubin.
Came to a brick wall in the form of a calibration bug.
- L00 Clustering
Second try. Came up with some cluster quality cuts, studied biases in position reconstruction.
(tracking meeting 04-Dec-2002)
- L00 Clustering
Third try. A bug in clustering was misapplying noise. Same exact document but with new plots. Conclusions are unchanged.
To use the MC embedding there is a help page here.
Silicon:
On the Silicon Commissioning web page
you will find a page for the
Detector Working Group. On which you would find little MrMen links to things like:
- The Bitreporter (Si Bank unpacker error summary. By ladder! By run! By date!
With bonus Dave Stuart brain interpreter and hex converters!)
- The Problem Database (Tracks Si Detector problems. Searchable by
type, status, date, ladder, actions, you name it... Here is an early
description.)
- The RX database (A failure mode which deserves its own database!)
-
Reformatter Reporter (Si reformatter error rate reporter -- God rest its soul)
-
The Initreporter The newest in the family of transferring data from the impregnable fortress walls of B0
Meanwhile, back at the farm...
- The RX problem has been addressed by repinning, but here is an old
description
of work done before arriving at this.
- Some of the summary talks I have given at the silicon general meetings:
- 17 Feb, 2002 (aka Why did I sign up for this?)
- 22 Mar, 2002 (aka Early head scratching)
- 12 May, 2002 (aka We need to get organized)
- (I ran out of time for creating elegant LaTex visions of my woes after this).
Silicon Reprise: the SRC
I am the caretaker of the SRC. Which I have now tried to
document.
We are also thinking of replacing this board. There are a couple
of talks:
We are also exploring how to improve L2 performance via
changes to the SRC, as explained in a little
talk.
Cdf code
I have had a part in inflicting a couple of pieces of code on cdf:
- A new SIXD/ISLD bank unpacker
which used in conjunction with SVXMon will categorize
error types. The Bitreporter uses this. It also
seemed to work. (My
first and
second
stab at debug and timing).
- For studying unbiased residuals in
silicon studies,
documented through no fault of mine, a useful ntuple module called
SiStripNt.
Miscellania
- I gave a silicon summary
talk
in the Jan '02 collaboration meeting
- Looking for Neutrinos?
My old experiment:
-
My CV,
my thesis,
and me.
